Department Description

• facilitates the consistent and timely flow of information to AADAC staff, government and the public
• develops and implements strategies to promote awareness of factors affecting addiction
• assists in promoting awareness of AADAC services
• promotes AADAC as the key source of addiction information, prevention and treatment services in Alberta
• develops and co-ordinates AADAC's response to action requests, information inquiries and correspondence from government departments, AADAC staff and the public
• co-ordinates responses to emerging addictions issues and AADAC's response to media inquiries
