Hours of Operation
24 hours a day (Detoxification Services) 8:15 am-4:30 pm, Monday to Friday (administration and admissions)
Clientele Served
- adults who want to live free from the harmful effects of alcohol, other drugs and gambling
- independent adolescents (16 or 17 years old) who have been assessed by an AADAC counsellor
Program/Service Description
- provides a 19-bed residential treatment facility for men and women who are recovering from addictions
- offers a 20-day intensive treatment program that includes individual and group counselling, interactive workshops and lectures, recreation and leisure activities, and participation in self-help groups
- offers a 20-day intensive Gambling Treatment Program for men and women experiencing serious problems related to gambling. Gambling Program applications are available from NAC.
Referral Information
- The full program can be accessed with residential support or on an outpatient basis.
- A completed Application Form (including health assessment) is required before an admission date is arranged.
- Brochures and Client Information Sheets are available from NAC.
- Detoxification services are also available at NAC.
- The Business and Industry Clinic provides specialized residential support and services to employers and employees.
- Clients need to be able to fully participate in all aspects of the program.
Additional Notes
- $40/day room and board fee applies for Alberta residents (no fee for outpatient clients).
- $200/day fee applies for residents of other provinces.
