Clientele Served
- youth (aged 12 to 17) who need a safe and supportive environment while they withdraw from alcohol and other drugs, and while they explore further treatment options
Program/Service Description
- offers youth residential detox programming for up to 10 days
- provides 24-hour care by qualified staff
- provides health stabilization, assessment, information and referral services for youth and their families
- provides a period of psychological readjustment designed to prepare youth and their families to take the next step in exploring further treatment
- offers addiction treatment planning, facilitated by addiction counsellors
Referral Information
- Admission to the program is planned and requires referral.
- Contact the Grande Prairie AADAC office or your local AADAC office to make a referral.
- This service is voluntary, confidential and free of charge for residents of Alberta.
